The Cyprus Children’s Fund
The Cyprus Children’s Fund is a non-profit organization established in 1974 immediately after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus to aid displaced families with children. Over the years, the program has developed into an organization seeking to assist indigent children in Cyprus. The Cyprus Government funds the operating costs of the Fund, which makes donations 100% for the benefit of the children. Through the Fund, abandoned and orphaned children get financial assistance and the promotion of foster parent relationships that provide the warmth, care, affection and guidance so necessary in a child’s life.
The “Cyprus Children’s Fund Scholarship Endowment” is for students of Greek and Greek Cypriot origin, who demonstrate financial need and academic excellence. Each year, 13 scholarship awards of $1,000 are given to qualified applicants from the combined four endowments of the fund.
