Features for People Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
Vibrating Ringer - Announces incoming calls with a vibration.
Multiple Ringtones - Some ringtones with different frequencies may be easier to hear for customers who are hard of hearing.
Reduced RF Interference - Our handsets have been engineered to decrease or eliminate the “buzzing” noise that is created when some hearing aids and wireless handsets are used together. This allows hearing aid users to more effectively communicate using wireless phones.
Visual Indicator Displays - Icons, flashing lights, written characters and other indicators that visually signify phone status functions such as Power On/Off, In Use, No Service and System Busy.
Large Display Screen - The large display screens on some of our handsets provide enhanced visibility and are ideal for displaying an increased number of text lines and larger visual display information.
Text Messaging - Most handsets support two-way text messaging, email or instant messaging, which allows users to communicate with text instead of speech.
TTY Compatible - Enables our handsets to be used with Text Telephone (TTY) devices. A Text Telephone device allows people to type messages back and forth using the wireless telephone lines instead of using speech.
2.5mm Audio Jack and 2.5mm Audio Jack Interface - The 2.5mm audio jack on some of our handsets supports TTYs, headsets or silhouette systems. The interface is a clip-on accessory for our phones that do not have a 2.5mm audio jack.
